News and commentary on a carbon constrained future

Archive for June, 2008

Glen Head facilitated a workshop with the Western Australian Sustainable Transport Coalition.  Transport policymakers and engineers assembled in HAC’s Perth offices this week to canvas the issue, with a view to adopting a position on possible actions to fast-track the mainstreaming of electric vehicles, from powered bicycles to private cars and public transport vehicles.  The timing of the workshop could not have been more fortuitous, with rising fuel prices, the need to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions and concerns over the ongoing availability of reasonably-priced oil dominating national media.

This conference is held on a biannual basis, and has been in existence for 34 years.  This year the WHEC will be held in Brisbane, Australia.  HAC is pleased to announce that Jamie Ally has been invited to Chair the session on Hydrogen-Fuelled Transportation.
