Hydrogen and Fuel Cells

The HAC team possesses a unique combination of expertise in hydrogen-related technology development, policy development, economic evaluation, academic research and project management.

HAC's skills and experience includes:
  • An extensive technical and operational understanding of hydrogen and fuel cell technology in both stationary and transport applications, based on actual hands-on experience;
  • direct involvement with the joint IPHE/IEA research project “Building the Hydrogen Economy: Enabling Infrastructure Development”;
  • a comprehensive understanding of the Australian stationary energy sector, including regulation and operation of energy markets;
  • local and International experience developing hydrogen investment and commercialisation strategies for Governments and in the business sector;
  • a proven ability to manage complex government-funded projects;
  • strong relationships with fuel cell bus demonstration projects around the globe;
  • the production of high-quality educational, marketing, and reporting materials, both printed and web-based, for a wide audience;
  • experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and conducting public events/conferences;
  • experience in conducting and administering quantitative and qualitative surveys; and
  • access to a suite of innovative, peer-reviewed, research tools for examining new and conventional energy chains in the context of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), cost-benefit analysis, societal life cycle costs, and operational effectiveness.
